The site of the future Las Vegas Raiders football stadium is now equipped with a 1sourcevend vending machine.
The new vending machine will be serviced by Las Vegas-based Glove Connection, a full-service distributor specializing in safety equipment, work gloves and first aid kits. Initially, the machine will be stocked with things like safety gloves, glasses, Kevlar sleeves, duct tape, spray paint and saw blades.
Installation of a 1sourcevend machine is straightforward enough that distributors and end-users can typically configure them on their own. In this case, 1sourcevend staff were already in town for The SafetyNetwork.me distributor meeting, so they stopped by to assist with installation.
1sourcevend machines are affordable enough to be installed profitably in smaller facilities, but they are particularly useful for large projects. Thanks to the new machine, Minneapolis-based stadium builder Mortenson will enjoy many benefits, including better inventory visibility, reduced carrying costs and reduced consumption, helping to keep the project on budget.
Reduced stock-outs and automated replenishment also support project productivity, helping the stadium reach completion on deadline. According to Mortenson, the new structure will cost $1,900,000,000 and take just under three years to build. It will include 65,000 seats, a retractable natural turf field and large operable walls that will open to views of the neighboring Las Vegas Strip.
